Sky Walk

A Few Words About the Tower

The Sky Tower located on the summit of Wierch Skolnity in Wisła is 38 metres high. After walking nearly a one-kilometre route, visitors can admire the green hills of the Silesian Beskids, trees swaying in the wind and the centre of the town.

To reach the tower, guests first walk along a 350-metre treetop path and then continue 820 metres to the tower itself.

The design of the tower was created so that the structure blends perfectly with the surrounding trees. It refers to the wooden architectural tradition of the region and is based on the best international solutions used in this type of architecture.

Educational Trail

Believing in the power of thoughtful and creative education and in the positive impact of spending time in nature, information boards about nature, geography, history and ethnography have been placed on six viewing platforms located along the path leading to the tower.

Drawing inspiration from the resources of the region, creative educational installations have been created to showcase the cultural, historical and natural heritage of this remarkable area. Visitors will learn about the daily life and traditions of the Silesian Highlanders, the history and traditions of Wisła and its inhabitants, as well as local stories and legends, the history of the Vlachs and the Silesian Highlanders, traditional music, ethnographic themes and traditional costumes.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to get closer to nature through educational boards dedicated to the longest river in Poland and its sources, the “green lungs” of the Silesian Beskids and the sheep that inhabit these mountain pastures. The educational trail in Wisła is an attraction for both children and adults, for anyone who wants to expand their knowledge in a unique way while having a great time.
